He’s done it again, Richard Archer has taken the title at Bewl!

After a few quiet tournaments by Richards standards, he has resumed normal business and taken the top spot on the podium once again.

In what was a phenomenal weekend at Bewl Water for the 4th Edition of the Bewl Water Kayak Fishing Championship UK (part of BWKFCUK)!

It was Richard Archer, who claimed the top spot with a total of 602 points, followed closely by Adrian Stangu who put in an amazing performance (594 pts) and Team Englands David Jacobs (575 pts). The level of competition at these tournaments has made these events the place to be if you want to up your game in the kayak world.

On the big fish front it was Adrian Stangu landed who the biggest pike of the event – a stunning 98cm fish caught on Day 1, helping him secure the silver medal position.

Kevin Spicer and Garry Willis both recorded impressive 49cm trout, with Garry claiming his first on Day 1.

Bradley Hunt, who is grasping all methods of lure fishing at the moment, competing in the street events as well, used his form to secure the top perch of the weekend, measuring 42cm and caught on Day 2.

This wasn’t just a competition—it was a true celebration of the UK kayak fishing community. From the tense battles on the water to the laughs shared back at base, the anglers made this event unforgettable.
